I just downloaded the eBuild and found that it didn't work. It would download the file but then fail as follows (this is from a re-run so that is why it says the file was already downloaded):
I looked for a while on the Gentoo forums and found a thread that describes the same problem with another eBuild. The solution was to re-create the digest. I tried this and it worked so it seems like the digest included in the eBuild download is not valid.
Also, I saw this thread that suggests adding the following line to the eBuild so that it doesn't try to download the source file from the Gentoo mirrors:
RESTRICT="nomirror"
Thanks.

This problem should be fixed in remerge 2.0.0/1...
I'm sorry that it ever happened, and I apologize for not realizing that this message was here (I didn't think anyone was using these forums, so I forgot to check them!)
Also, I took your suggestion and added in the RESTRICT line for the next version of remerge, 2.0.2, which will be released ASAP.
Thanks for your time and thanks for working with remerge!

!!! Couldn't download remerge-1.2.0.tar.bz2. Aborting.
