Sourceforge has recently deprecated the FTP upload mechanism. This policy change cripples ReleaseForge prior to 1.3.

ReleaseForge 1.3 now uploads files to Sourceforge via SFTP (one of the new supported methods).

Prior to running ReleaseForge 1.3 you will need to obtain Paramiko v1.74 or greater.

ReleaseForge 1.1 is now available. This release contains a critical fix that affected the initial creation of a release. It also adds a "Re-Guess" feature to effortlessly setting all file attributes when editing an existing release.

This version adds preliminary unicode (utf-8) support for a number of text entry fields.

The ability to email mailing lists and individual users has been integrated into this release. Additionally, ReleaseForge users can now automatically login to SourceForge and Freshmeat without being prompted by using the --auto command line flag.

The --config command line option has been deprecated. The configuration file (releaseforge.cfg) has now been migrated to the ReleaseForge data directory (please refer to the FAQ for implications). The preferences dialog has been modified to accommodate the new features and configuration changes.

Winodws users of 0.8.5 should download this new version. A serious threading issue was discovered in v0.8.5 and was fixed in 0.8.6.

If during the file upload process ReleaseForge appeared to hang then you should download this new version. If you have not used 0.8.5 for a project release then you should also download this new version. Users that have successfully released projects using 0.8.5 may not need this new version but it is recommended. ... read more

ReleaseForge v0.7 is now available for download. This new version allows users to submit project news to SourceForge (such as the message that you are now reading).

This is a minor bug fix release.

I'm pleased to announce the release of ReleaseForge 0.6. In addition to some minor bug fixes, v0.6 offers the ability to edit an existing SourceForge release. This is a significant feature enhancement that I'm sure you will appreciate.

RleaseForge v0.5 is the first publc release of ReleaseForge and is immediately available for download from SourceForge.
