IRC Relay Bot 1.1 released

A lot of changes to the IRC relay bot. Much more flexible configuration allowing more control of what it relays, more complicated channel mappings and various other cleanup.

IRC Channel Relay Bot 1.0 released

This IRC bot lets you span a channel across multiple networks.

Originally written because EFnet had become unusable, I still use it because a couple of people in the channel I hang out in continue to use EFnet, even though the rest of us prefer openprojects. (and one person is on from IRCnet)

At this point the code is actually quite mature; the documentation could use some help and a bit of online help would be nice, but it can sit and run for a month straight with no crashes.... read more

IRC Channel Relay Bot Initial release (0.9)

The relay-bot has finally been properly released. This code is mostly useful for spanning an IRC channel across IRC networks. Even better than leaving a bot on the old IRC network to tell people about the new IRC network you've moved to is to have the channel usable from both networks at once. Relays public messages to the channel, joins, parts, topic changes, signoffs, private messages... Works on any number of servers and any number of IRC channels at once (up to IRC protocol limitations). Particularly useful if your favorite IRC network has become unusable due to stuff like DoS attacks.
