RegMAS: 1.2.0 released

RegMAS is a Regional Multi Agent Simulator developed in C++ and suited to long-term simulation of effects of government policies over agricultural and rural systems.

This release goes on the direction of simplify its usage for end-users. Input data is loaded directly from the OpenDocument Spreadshit input file, without the need of converting firstly in XML/CSV.
Futhermore the selection of the scenario can now be done directly in the GUI.

RegMAS: 1.1.0 released

RegMAS is a Regional Multi Agent Simulator developed in C++ and suited to long-term simulation of effects of government policies over agricultural and rural systems.

This release adds new policy options (notabily "regionalisation" or area-based flatted payments and more modulation shares), adds a command line interface with the model and corrects an object initialisation bug.

In particular with this release it is now possible to simulate regional effects of the "Health Check", the upcoming European Common Agricultural Policy reform. ... read more

Announcing Regional Multi Agent Simulator (RegMAS) 1.0

Dear folks,
I am proud to announce the first “stable” release of RegMAS (Regional Multi Agent Simulator), a simple spatially explicit multi-agent model framework, developed in C++ language and designed for long-term simulations of effects of government policies over agricultural systems (e.g. farm sizes, incomes, land use...).

RegMAS uses profit-maximisation algorithms to derive farmers behaviors. With RegMAS researchers can write regional-specific models, adapting the pool of activities, resources and farmers to their specific region.... read more

RegMAS: 0.9.3 (RC3) released

RegMAS is a Regional Multi Agent Simulator developed in C++ and suited to long-term simulation of effects of government policies over agricultural and rural systems.

This release is basically a GUI enchantment over RC2, with a better redesign and a right-click cross-layer pixel info area.

RegMAS: 0.9.1 (RC2) released

RegMAS is a Regional Multi Agent Simulator developed in C++ and suited to long-term simulation of effects of government policies over agricultural and rural systems.

Approaching the first "official" release the RegMAS team is proud to announce its second Release Candidate. While containing some bugfixes (notabily the labels in the output are now correctly read in Excel) RC2 carry also a new feature, that is, maps can be saved directly as images without the need of a separate GIS program.... read more

RegMAS moves to SourceForge

Approaching the first "official" release the RegMAS team is proud to announce its switch of several project-related tools on SourceForge.net.
In particular SourForge will be used to host the Forum, the Tracker, the News and for downloading the binary releases, while http://regmas.org will continue to host the web-site, the documentation and the CVS.... read more
