I wasn't sure what list to send this to, so I sent it to both: > Get occasional random occurrences > of the error: Error 48.920: Low-level stream I/O error: creating > redirection for output: No such file or directory I think I've found the problem with this error. First of all, if you use the ADDRESS SYSTEM with STEM construct, you create a lot of temporary files on Win98. My script runs 24x7 and does an Address System with stem about every minute. I have over 5500 ._rx files in my temp dir and that is from running for a few days. Regina should clean those up after they are used. What is happening is the local_mkstemp function in DosCmd.c is not creating a proper filename if a temp file already exists. If it tries to open "c:\tmp\632605._rx" and it already exists, it increments the number, but then tries to open "c:\tmp\632605._rx\642506._rx". I'll work up a fix but where do I send it? And what format? Bob |
