I've just installed Regina REXX and during the install process, one of the dialogue boxes mentioned something about RXSTACK opening port (I think it was) 5757, and that if one is concerned about a potential security exposure vis-à-vis same, then one can choose to not have it start up at system boot.
So, I guess two questions:
«» how can I learn more about these potential security exposures
«» how can I arrange to not have it start up at system boot.
I should mention two things:
1. I'm not on a LAN, however I'm connected to the 'Net via cable modem
2. I'm not shy about (although always careful when) tweaking the
Registry, if that's what's needed to preclude RXSTACK startup at boot time.
Thanks for whatever help you can provide.
P.S. I should have also mentioned that I'm running WinXP/Home (SP2) on a DELL Inspiron 1000 laptop.
