Inconsistent trailing slash between hosts
Brought to you by:
rexx
Both hosts are Rexx 3.9.4.
Linux behavior:
CentOS7:/tmp $ rexx
say stream('/home/chris', 'c', 'query exists')
say stream('/home/chris/', 'c', 'query exists')
/home/chris
/home/chris
Windows behavior:
READY (c:\temp) rexx
say stream("c:\chris", 'c', 'query exists')
say stream("c:\chris\", 'c', 'query exists')
^Z
c:\chris
c:\chris\
Personally, I prefer leaving the trailing slash if the user put it there. However, that behavior may be inconsistent with output of similar Linux commands, and it may mess up users who've assumed "no trailing slash" based on prior release behavior, so that is up to the "powers that be", as long as the output is consistent across hosts.
BTW macOS behaves like Windows.
