Any call to RxQueue on Regina windows installations > 3.5 seems to crash rxstack.exe. To illustrate :

With regina 3.5 installed on windows (7 or 8), I modify .demo/extqueue.rexx line 22 by adding 'start /b' to fire off independent processes as required to test external (RxQueue) queue functionality. This results in a successful execution of the macro.

If I do the same for 3.6 and 3.7 installations, any call to RxQueue causes rxstack.exe to crash.

I see the same issue with any of my macros utilizing the queue functionality.

Same happens with both 32 and 64 bit installations.

I have done some preliminary testing of this with Regina 3.8. rxqueue no longer crashes, but the contents of the queues are sometimes incorrect. Will require further investigation.

Hi Mark - tried out 3.8, seems to be working fine for me (both my own macros and extqueue.rexx). I did modify line 40 of extqueue.rexx to "Address System prefix 'regina' prog i suffix".
Thanks for the hard work on the new version. Let me know if I can help tracing down what you are seeing.
