#376 Does not run on Windows 2000

Rexx and rexxutil 3.60 seems to be compiled in a new compiler which starts at windows 5.1 as the lowest version it uses.

Is this a bug or WAD (working as designed).

Not really WAD. Regina required a more recent compiler for large file support on 32bit platforms. The latest version of the free MS Visual C++ at the time was 2010 which had a restriction that it only ran on XPSP2 or above.

I've since checked MS Visual Studio 2008 and it does support large files and does run on Windows 2000 and above.

So I'm now in the process of downgrading my Windows development environment from VS 2010 to 2008 so Regina 3.7 RC1 to be released this week will now run on Windows 2000.
