The documentation for the STRIP bif says (about the 3rd arg):
If char (which must be a string containing exactly one character) is ...
This isn't true. It may be any size, but only the 1st character is
Also, it isn't explicitly stated, but the L, T, or B may be in any case
(lower or upper).
The above should also be include for DATE, TIME, and VERIFY
--- that is, the appropriate option can be of any length
[other than null], and be in any case ( lower or upper).
Also, the documentation concerning the 'Match' option
for VERIFY, it states:
(Match) Reverses the search ...
which in fact, it doesn't reverse the search. The use of
the word REVERSES is incorrect.
Also, in several places in the documentation, it's
stated: blah blah blah will return 0.
Other places, it says zero is returned. In fact,
0 (zero) is return (1 character), not four characters.
While most of us old foggies know what you meant,
the doc should be consistant and use
... and will return 0 (zero).
Also, the USERID bif states that it is a Regina
option, In fact, it came from CMS, and TSO also
has that same build-in function.
Also, the same can be said for the STORAGE
bif (CMS and TSO)..
