I understand that one of the settings controlled by EFI is the ability to boot into Target Disk Mode, which allows the computer to act like an external hard drive via the Firewire port.

Currently, the only way to do this is to hold down the "T" key at boot. The setting holds for that session only.

I am seeking a way to make this sticky, and have a Mac (an Intel based Mac Mini, to be specific) always boot into Target Disk Mode, unless the setting is revoked by (for example), holding the Option key down at boot, booting from the Mac's internal HDD, and re-issuing a new command to set a new default.

If I can set a Startup Disk in a "sticky" way (holds across power cycles), then why can't I set the TDM?
