I did an install of the new 10.5 leopard release on my macbook pro 2.33 Ghz 2 gigs ram 120 gig HD. After I updated OSX to 10.5 rEFIt did not work had to hold down option key like normal. I tried removing rEFIt and using the newest build, but I still ran into the same issue did they make significant changes to the EFI loader that broke funcionality with rEFIt? Any ideas? If you would like me to run anything to gather log files just let me know what files are needed and I will gladly rar them up and email them.

Thanks for your help,

CW

rEFIt is also not working on my iMac 2GHz Intel Core Duo after installing OSX 10.5. Thats a bummer because the option keys on the new Aluminum keyboard are not working to select my Bootcamp partition. I hope the author gets it working or Apple come up with a fix for the keyboard.

I retried installing refit today (with Leopard) and was able to get it to work. I think the update to osx broke refit, but reinstalling worked for me. Just thought I'd let others know.

After installing rEFIt the clicky way on my new mac mini (leopard, c2d), nothing happened. I ran the ./install.sh from the manual installation guide (it was already in place) and rEFIt did show up.

i am running OSX 10.5 and i had it working fine the first time i installed it. After i installed another HDD in my MacPro the menu no longer shows up. I've installed XP on the hdd i installed and tried re installing rEFIt but i still have to hold the option key to see all my partitions. This is a pain because i am using a different keyboard and the option key doesn't register during boot. so i have to keep my apple keyboard connected just to change my OS

Just run the steps under "Manual Installation on the Mac OSX Volume" again. It should resolve that issue...I think.

I've tried installing rEFIt on 2 Leopard installs, and upgrading a rEFIt-enabled Tiger install in place to Leopard, and they all worked okay as far as I can tell. If you're installing from scratch on Leopard it takes two reboots before the rEFIt menu shows up, but it did show up without further action required on my machines.

Does anyone still see the problem on their machines?

I have the same problem with my 15" MBP Core Duo 2.16GHz. Also, I've tried running the rEFITBlesser program on its own, and I get the following message from the Terminal:

    /Volumes/rEFIt/rEFItBlesser/rEFItBlesser: line 49: $1: unbound variable

If I bless the EFI folder manually, I can get my hard disk to sometimes appear as "rEFIt" when I hold down option at startup, but when I click on the icon, Leopard still loads up without rEFIt.

    BTW -- I have 10.5.2

Not working here with Leopard 10.5.2 up to date. Seems that the problem is that rEFItBlesser is not working. So rEFIt only works for one boot. Then the standard boot.efi is blessed again. I don't know how OS X deals with it, but it seems that it always re-bless itself every boot?

    Cheers!
