I installed ubuntu linux in MacBook Pro with triplw boot. Now I see 1-AppleMacBoot icon, 2-LinuxBoot icon & 1-Windows boot icon. Wondering if this a problem with rEfit or the way I installed??,
Well, I didn't install lilo at any point but still I see 2 linux icons. Ok, maybe I've tried to install grub more than once and it affects one partition, but then there's something else: I've a big fat32 partition which I didn't touch with grub at all, and it appears twice on my menu!
I've 2 hard disks and I've installed linux on the 2nd one, along with this big fat32 partition. I've a windows on the 1st disk which is shown only once in the menu.
For me that looks like a big mess around there. I'll see if using 'lilo -u' helps and report back.

I've got the same issue when I install first lilo and then grub.
The solution was to deinstall grub with a lilo -u....and the second entry disappear
