Hi, I recently used the program to install linux onto my Mac OS X machine. After a while, I got bored from linux and I removed it from my hard drive. I uninstalled the software rEFIt and now I can't switch my boot disk when I reboot my computer. Also, I can't go on my single user anymore.

What do you mean you can't switch your boot disk when you reboot your computer? The rEFIt menu is gone since you uninstalled rEFIt. Now you have to use the Startup Manager to switch your boot disk (hold down the option key during startup).

What does "I can't go on my single user anymore" mean?

    Did you remove /Library/StartupItems/rEFItBlesser/rEFItBlesser?

Try reselecting Mac OS X in the Startup Disk preferences panel in System Preferences?
