    Hello,

I was able to get rEFInd running on my 2010 Macbook Pro with Mavericks. I reached a gray screen with two disks and I selected the one that was not the recovery drive. I was then taken to a menu that had an Apple logo next to some other logo I cannot remember. I clicked this logo to try and boot from a USB drive. It seems that this was not the correct way to go about booting from the USB, as of now I am stuck at the no bootable devices prompt with no idea of how to navigate away from this screen. My computer will not turn off, and no buttons on the keyboard do anything for me.

My only option it seems at this point is to let the battery die and try again. Unless someone knows of a way to navigate away from this screen. Thank you kindly for all replies.

The computer died, and I was able to boot up OS X. I'll be back in a little while if I have more issues.
