One of the first things I do any time I install rEFInd is to set an opaque black 1x1 BMP or PNG file as the background, to change the default from the ugly grey to a cleaner black.
Why is it that the default theme is still grey? Apple haven't used grey as their background color in many years, and black looks so much better on basically every machine except those old Macs.

Yes, I know you can change the theme, but I'm asking why the default theme, the one that comes up for every new user, and every time I boot the ISO, is something made for the grey theme that Apple hasn't even used for at least 5 years. Even the stock icons are fine (well, aside from icons that are mostly black), if you download a 1-pixel black image and set that as the banner. But black should really be the default for basically every modern machine.
