    Hi,
i've two windows partitions on one disk.
rEFInd has been installed and put on first position in BIOS.
rEFInd starts and offers only one selection by default, the WindowsBootManager (with two Windows installations)
Selecting one results in showing up rEFInd again, when selecting the WindowsBootmanager again, it starts the Windows installation selected before....
Is there a way to start the Windows installations directly or at least, how to prevent showing rEFInd a second time?

hmm, 10 days have passed without any answer/reaction.
is my question to hard.....or maybe to stupid?

solved the problem by myself now, and as project seems to be dead, i've switched to refindPlus.

    @qarachi

Posts that just say "I solved the issue" are of no use at all.
To be useful, you should tell what the solution was for posterity.
The solution was obviously not merely simply switching tools.
This ignores that the whole post is most unproductive.

Right. Since @qarachi seems to be the type that demands that others give to them but would rather not give anything , a solution to the issue can be found here:

i was waiting 20 days for a reaction/solution... but you yourself are "demanding" it within 3 days.
We already had a constructive communication in this refindPlus discussion:
    https://github.com/dakanji/RefindPlus/discussions/197
....and you're posting the solution here, I gave you there....

So, you're not in the position for flaming me

...and as you're the maintainer of refindPlus, my valuation that this project seems to be dead looks also reasonable

The mere fact that you just posted that you had a solution without revealing the solution already says a lot. What I did was give you a chance to redeem yourself but you did not take the oppurtunity.

Btw, you ignored a simple request, at the end of the "constructive" communication, to provide something that would have taken 5 mins of your time that could have helped further develop things. I suppose it was too much effort since your issue had been resolved.

On your evaluation of the state of this project, I wonder how long you have used the product and how many queries you have responded to in that time.

Isn't it a big, fat zero? yet you expect that others should. Right?

If your assessment is not based on others answering you, then I suppose you expect the developer to be sitting waiting to answer your questions. You have no idea what is going on in his life. I suppose that doesn't count. Once he does not respond, it is time to throw a tantrum but you are not prepared to lift a finger for anyone.

Not saying that questions should not be answered but your attitude/approach is distasteful.

    oh, how generous my majesty

Btw, you ignored a simple request, at the end of the "constructive" communication

i didn't ignore it, but I've also a private life and a job to satisfy - giving other people some time for answering seems not to be one of your strenghts.

I wonder how long you have used the product and how many queries you have responded to in that time.

caused by the problems in my first post, i wasn't able to use it in a reasonable way....and responding queries without knowledge and experience makes no sense

    but your attitude is distaseteful.

hmm, what makes you think you're entitled judging me?

last but not least, a short summary: as i got no reaction here, i switched to the refindPlus discussion board. You answered my questions there, but were not able to solve my problem.
I found the solution by myself and posted it there....and by the way, you presented it here as the outcome of your own investigations.

i was communicating factual, you only personal and insultant. So, i'm not interested in continuing discussing with you, neither here, nor in the refindPlus discussion board.

    bye

You presented it here as the outcome of your own investigations.

That is a bold faced lie and you know it is.

I posted a link to a solution, which any decent person would have done right off the bat or in the case of an oversight, would have done so when pointed out.

    Goodbye and good riddance.

Enough. I won't tolerate this sort of disrespectful exchange. If there's another such disrespectful post and I'll delete the whole thread.
