    hi!

i'm trying to run install.sh from rEFInd 0.8.6 on OSX 10.4.11 (on a
Macbook 2,0), as "bash install.sh" or "./install.sh" from the terminal

    and it shows:

    guests-computer:~/Desktop/refind/refind-bin-0.8.6 guest$ bash install.sh
install.sh: line 1077: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ``'
install.sh: line 1130: syntax error: unexpected end of file
    guests-computer:~/Desktop/refind/refind-bin-0.8.6 guest$

what might be happening there, and what i should try for help fixing/verbosing/debugging it?

    thanks and cheers,
    Paulo

I vaguely recall hearing of this problem some time ago. My vague recollection is that I looked into it but didn't find a clean way to fix it. My recommendation is to either install it using a newer version of OS X or install rEFInd manually.

The "install rEFInd manually" worked perfectly, thanks! :) (right now i'm proceeding with Ubuntu upgrades! \o/ )

(btw, talking about upgrading OSX, that sadly wasn't an option for lots of reasons: it doens't allow to upgrade beyond 4.11, the internal cd-driver is broken for years (i never attempted to fix or replace it, and i unsuccessfully tried to clean it), OSX is confined into a 8gb partition, etc. - so i guess will be "stuck" on OSX 4.11 for years! :D )

back, i'll try to contribute with some themes, can it be? :D (i guess we need to have them better organized in websites like OpenDesktop)
