Searching for installing refind on a precise partition.I'd like to install my OS on a usb stick, so i have to choose on which partition i want to install it. I have done some search on different website and man pages.Todayi have find nothing. Does anybody have an idea.
My final goal should be to boot on my usb stick and to get refind working on multisytem project to have only one usb stick for all my OS:
Hi, thanks for your answer, i'm going to have a look.
At this moment i find another way than trying to get working refind inside multisystem.I install it near multisystem on another partition.
1- make three partition on your usb stick
2- install multisystem
3- install refind on the second partition:
refind flashdrive downloadlink from rodsbooks website: http://sourceforge.net/projects/refind/files/0.9.0/refind-flashdrive-0.9.0.zip/download
command from rodsbooks doc:
dd if=refind-flashdrive-{version}.img of=/dev/sdx
4- install an OS (At this moment it works with linux, windows, or tonymacs but not with any official mac .iso. Lot of Linux ditros and windows are supported by multisystem too)
When you boot on your usb stick, it works on mac and PC. You can choose between multisystem and refind.
Not enough time this days i will try something else to get it work with yosemith
Just another point, i work with a 64Go usb stick. And at each test i made on this usb stick, i used this command to delete every datas on it because it made a lot of conflict between different partition (with official mac software):
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdx conv=notrunc
