I have tried to install refind on Fedora linux running on a macbook, which in turn causes it to create an hfs+ root partition and boot using the /system/library/coreservices route instead of /EFI/. This means 2 things. A: When rEFInd attempts to install, it does not detect a vfat partition and exits. B: When you install manually, it will not boot into rEFInd and instead boots straight to fedora. How do i fix it? P.S I am attaching a zip of the partition for study.
