I have updated my 1,1 with Tiamos EFI. Installed Mavs on an SSD. Updated the graphics card to a Apple ATI Radeon 5770HD. But when I start up or shut down, I'm always in verbose mode. Not horrible certainly.
Would this utility help edit or fix that issue?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I've never used the boot loader you reference. It might force a verbose boot in all conditions, or it might just use a verbose boot by default but provide an override switch to provide a quieter graphical boot. If the latter, you could create a manual boot entry in rEFInd that would pass the quiet-boot option to the boot loader. You'd need to write the manual boot entry and you then presumably want to blacklist the auto-detection via one of the dont_scan_* options.
I recommend you contact the boot loader's author to find out if it supports a non-verbose boot mode.
