I am not able to get rEFInd working on one of those new MBP (2016, with touchbar). Seems to me that there is a problen to access an external USB SSD (connected over a USB-C to USB-A adapter). Also, on boot up the touchbar isn't working yet so I don't know hoe to press the F2 key (Apple was smart enough to remove all function keys from the keyboard and only provide them in the touchbar after the device's OS is fully loaded)...
Any ideas how to adress this?
Thanks!

Backspace (Delete on Mac keyboards) works the same as Esc, and Tab works the same as F2/Insert/+.
As to accessing an external disk, it should be working IF the EFI supports the disk; however, sometimes external disks take a little longer to show up, so you've got to hit Esc in rEFInd to make them appear. If that doesn't work, then maybe your firmware just doesn't support them. OTOH, if you can get them to appear in Apple's own boot manager by holding the Alt/Option key as you start up, then that sounds more like a rEFInd bug.

I implemented a change recently that adds duplicate keys to rEFInd for new Macs with touchbars. You can try it here:
