I want to add a second SSD with Windows 10 on it.

My current system

Kernel: 5.3.0-51-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 7.5.0

After some reading I discovered that I should have installed Linux with my BIOS in UEFI mode NOT LEGACY mode. In the information I found on the authors website Linux and Refind should be installed on a UEFI system to be installed and operate correctly.

When I switch my BIOS out of Legacy mode to UEFI and boot I get a SHELL prompt.

Is there a way to switch my Linux installation back over to UEFI and get away from the Legacy mode on the BIOS before I try to make a SSD with Windows 10 dual boot?
