For me mouse in 0.11.4 not works (I did not tried any other versions). As I move the mouse pointer working till ~0.5sec. then disappears. M/B: MSI B85-G41 PC-Mate Mouse worked with refind.

A "fix" to nnfx's bug - mouse support not working in arch based distros , thus using version 1.11.3+ :
1. pacman -R refind-efi
2. install version 0.11.2 from https://sourceforge.net/projects/refind/files/0.11.2/refind-bin-0.11.2.zip/download
3. unzip it
4. cd to where you unzipped it
5. run ./refind-install (this will keep your old config files, themes and icons)
6. enjoy your mouse support

I can confirm the issue is real. Mouse support in does work in version 11.2. But in version 11.3 and 11.4 it does not work. You move the mouse and the mouse cusor disappears. I had to role back to version 11.2. The only current fix for the issue.
As soon I did that, the mouse worked perfectly on the new Intel NUC8I7HVK(s). It's and issue with refind because old FIT-PC(s) had the same issue when I upgraded to 11.3 and again to 11.4.
This too bad too. I'd like have and be using all Rod's and the other programmers improvements in version 11.4; but, I need the mouse support to work. I can't right a ticket on it either. Because i need the admin to give ticket writing access. But have emailed rod about the issue several times.

Just seeing if mouse support is a desired feature. I'm going to add it in, if there's a chance it'll be accepted into the main branch.
Mouse support already exists; it was added in version 0.11.0, as noted on the revisions page of the documentation:
http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/revisions.html
If you see a way to improve that support, I certainly welcome any patches or merge requests you care to submit.
I'll look into it once Arch pushes out the latest version.

You can use the new mod for refind and refindplus it is designed with old firmware support in mind, give it a try:
