It seems my motherboard's firmware requires the mv to \EFI\BOOT\bootx64.efi to boot refind. It simply refulsed to display the default location and name in the boot options list. However, I now get a very basic version of refind which my firmware calls "UEFI OS" but allows me to launch the configured version, which is still in \EFI\refind\refind_x64.efi. Everything else is working fine. My efistub kernel is there as is the Windows 10 bootloader. Just looking to eliminate a step here. Maybe adding the refind tree from the efi system partition with its configs to \EFI\BOOT\?

Have you tried EasyEFI to create a boot item that points to \EFI\refind\refind_x64.efi?

Have you tried copying rEFInd's files to the \EFI\BOOT\ folder?

Was a syntax error in my efibootmgr command. Pure EBKAC. This UEFI firmware works fine, as do efibootmgr and refind. Cancel. Thanks forreplying, though.

Possible to mark thread title line "SOLVED"?
