I don't think so. refdbd simply gives up if it can't load the
driver. It can't do much without it.

What does /Users/darcusb/refdb/refdbd.log tell you? It should have at
least the initial libdbi test results (available drivers and such).

I can't imagine how. But weird things do happen.
