You may spell the reason "incompetence", "stupidity", or maybe
"oversight" :-) While you can't expect that the output is literally
the same as the input, the document object model should of course stay
the same. If it doesn't, it's a bug.

Looks like I can continue to do prereleases. On the other hand I would
have been surprised if this new feature had worked out of the box. I'd
be glad if everyone could test the risx import/export with the
weirdest citations they can find and tell me if the output has gross
errors.
