[Refdb-users] MySQL/RefDB newbie question

OK, I've gotten RefDB compiled on OS X, and it seems to work, but every 
time I try to connect with the refdb clients, I get an "could not 
connect to database" error.  I am guessing this has something to do 
with my MySQL setup, where I have the root account defined with an 
installer.  If I connect directly to MySQL through the root account, no 
problem.

So, I gather I should be defining another user (me), but am not sure 
how.

Any help would be appreciated!
