Hi, I am new to this list, and first of all I'd like to say that RefDB is a great program with a lot of useful functions. On the other side I must say, it was not so trivial to install = on my Debian woody system, because several packages are not "debianized" (eg libdbi - only available in an outdated version). But now I have started to use it and .. already run into my first problems. I have a reference with an author called H=F6=F6k, and I wonder how to add this reference. A RIS file with "H=F6=F6k" is rejected by addref, because of the two umlauts (eg if I replace them with o, I can add the reference fine). Now I edited the file in unicode mode and put the unicode equivalents in. I now can at least add the reference. But if I look eg at a search via the webinterface, I still get the ugly unicode raw code (H=C3=B6=C3=B6= k). I don't have much experience with unicode, so maybe I am doing something stupid ? How do people usually handle references with special characters ?
