I'm not a Mandrake user, so I can't give definitive advice here. Many
distributions (like Debian) split MySQL and similar software in at
least two packages, like MySQL (server and clients) and MySQL-dev
(development libraries and headers). To build software that uses
libmysqlclient you need the latter package. To build and run RefDB,
you need both. readline and expat should be available as binary
packages for most if not all Linux distributions. A visit to the
Mandrake web page or to rpmsearch.net might help you to unearth those
packages.

Please report your experiences back to the list. I'd be interested to
hear whether there are any differences in the RIS files generated by
Reference Manager and EndNote.
