I've been a bit over my head lately in attempting to get going in docbook and all the related tools, so I was afraid it was just me and that I had misplaced my brain as well as a few of your files! One of the biggest concerns I had in starting to use docbook was how to handle bibliographies, because in my earlier days I tasted the fruits of bibtex and never ever wanted to go back to hand-constructing bibliographies for each paper. Especially since it doesn't seem that the bibliography structure is very well pinned down yet in the docbook world. So I was happy to find refdb. Also, here is some unsolicited friendly feedback from a dumb would-be user. Take it for what its worth. First, your documentation is outstanding and comprehensive. However, the installation procedure is a bit daunting. Especially as concerns the editing of numerous script headers and the moving of various files here and there. Perhaps some "sed" commands in the Makefile that replace the script headers with the correct path names given at configure time would be helpful. Desired install directory variables could also be defined at configure time so that a "make install" takes care of more of the installation. You've got a great project! Thanks again.
