I'm probably asking the wrong persion, but would it be feasible to package the
Emacs refdb-mode once it is finished?

libdbi is a stumbling block on Debian, unfortunately. The package maintainer
used to be the main libdbi author, but he jumped ship with the other maintainer
and basically left the project to me. I'm afraid the Debian packages won't be
updated unless we can convince someone else to grab maintainership. I'll try to
track down the kind souls who fixed the 0.7.1/2 packages in the wake of the
Sarge release, they might be able to help out.
