changing Default Welcome Message plus

I'm trying to change the Default Welcome Message and, if possible, the word Login in the login box on the index page.

I tried changing the Default Welcome Message in locales/en/ but that didn't change what's appearing on the index page. What do I need to do to make that text (or any text) change?

    thanks very much,

      Hi Michelle,

isn't this the same issue as in your previous thread?

After reloading the refbase page in your browser, any changes made to the refbase source files should take effect instantly. W.r.t. refbase, there's no caching going on.

To change the welcome message of the main page ('index.php'), open file 'locales/en/' and adopt the text (that is between the quotes to the right of "=>") of this line:

"Default Welcome Message"=>"Welcome! This database provides access to scientific literature.",

If you're using refbase with a UTF-8 based MySQL database, then you'll need to make your changes in file 'locales/en/' instead.
