    Everything works great in the past, until I implemented iptables on the box.

    In order to enhence security on the CentOS box, I have allow port 22/80/3306(mysql) connection, but then refbase won't load. Do I miss some point here?

      error message looks like this:

      Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution in /var/health/html/drupal/refbase/includes/include.inc.php on line 5213

      Hi Steven,

      refbase uses function 'fetchDataFromURL()' (which in turn uses the PHP 'fopen()' function) to fetch data from an URL. This is used for things like PMID import as well as on the main page (to fetch & display the most recently added records).

      If 'fopen()' causes problems on your system, this post explains how to disable the call to 'fopen()' on the main page:


      While this may help to work around your problem, it surely doesn't solve it though...
