I have written a short hint for the ScienceDirect import:

Maybe anybody coult verify whether it is understandable ... and maybe correct the english ;-)

    Regards Knut

I've noticed it already, thanks for your contribution!

I think we should move this (and the paragraph about PubMed) to its own section, either on the "Importing records" page or somewhere else. Some time ago, we had started to write similar help notes for other applications (such as Endnote or ISI Web of Science):

Maybe we should move all of these help instructions to a dedicated page and link to it from the "Importing records" page.

      Thanks again, Matthias

I was looking just at this place for the hints for Pubmed.

Then I must add some records from ScienceDirect and tried to mamage this wihtout copy and paste all the fields.
I my opinion it's a explanation to import Pubmed and ScienceDirect Records.

      I would link:
      Instructions for Pubmed Records
      Instructions for ScienceDirect Records
      Instructions for future Records

Each to a seperate helpage, maybe with little screenprints and extended explanations for unfamilar users.

      Regards Knut

but I am familar with RefBase since less than a week - so maybe I am complete wrong ;-)

I've now setup separate help pages in our wiki that describe:

      1) how to get records from other reference managers into refbase:

      2) how to get records from common bibliographic databases into refbase:

These pages are linked from the "Importing records" page as well as from the main documentation index.

Hope this is useful to somebody, Matthias
