Dear All, this is an announcement of the release of CDIFF, a suite of REDUCE packages for computations in geometry of differential equations. This suite has been developed at the University of Twente about 20 years ago, and it has recently been successfully used to compute Hamiltonian operators for PDEs. The suite is available at the Geometry of Differential Equations website: http://gdeq.org/index.php?title=CDIFF:_a_suite_of_REDUCE_packages_for_computations_in_geometry_of_differential_equations The suite is complemented by a user guide and examples of computations that can be found in the above page. This was my personal contribution. At the moment I am writing an interface to CDIFF which would make it possible to use it in more difficult examples, with arbitrary PDEs. By the way, I overcame a problem thanks to the help of people in this ml, John Peatfield and Thomas Sturm, to whom I would like to express my gratitude. So, maybe in one month or so there will be this new package in CDIFF. I have no idea if CDIFF is suitable for inclusion in REDUCE, if somebody thinks that it could be included I am open to discuss it. More generally, questions and suggestions are welcome.
