As a real limit, the result is infinity. As a limit in the complex plane, it doesn't exist (since the exp has an essential singularity at infinity).

So, to be mathematically correct, the two cases need to be distinguished.

Rainer SchöpfMon, 15 Apr 2013 09:22:59 -0000https://sourceforge.net8be14dd53fd5c069a052c72ae7ccf72e3e9f0bd1Exponential limits not workinghttps://sourceforge.net/p/reduce-algebra/bugs/48/

Even quite simple limits like
limit(0.4^x,x,infinity)
do not work. It would be really cool if you could improve this a bit.

Zbynek KonecnyWed, 03 Apr 2013 13:16:14 -0000https://sourceforge.net85f09ae7cd3c58fe4dc0ce91c696037458b4b1d0Exponential limits not workinghttps://sourceforge.net/p/reduce-algebra/bugs/48/

Ticket 48 has been modified: Exponential limits not working
