#17 make install fails if one isn't building gnuplot

For the 20091021 version configured with csl being build on Scientific Linux (or other similar systems) we already have a perfectly functional gnuplot, so I don't want to build yet another copy.

However the Makefile(s) expect to find 'gnuplot*' and 'gnuplot.Copyright' which don't exist. Clearly patching the Makefile.am/in to avoid the problem isn't very hard but it might be better to add a configure option (--without-localgnuplot or similar) so it doesn't catch every person who downloads the sources. Or is the gnuplot stuff now expected to in a completely different tree anyway and so references to building/installing it should go away?

"make install" is probably not really right in loads of respects! So its mention of gnuplot is a mistake and a mess. I only really try to do special things wrt gnuplot in the windows case.

So really the problem here is that "make install" is unfinished work and is basically plain messed up. Thanks for the reminder and I will get back and look at it at some stage.

I hope I have now fixed Makefile.am so that "make install" only tries to copy across gnuplot-related files when you are on windows. Now on Windows I will need to pick up on the proper installer submitted a while ago that I have not had time to work through. Anyway I have closed the bug. Please re-open if it is not really fixed.
