I have read your article Improving Location Fingerprinting through Motion Detection and Asynchronous Interval Labeling.
I have a question about the mathematical foundations of the algorithm that you propose to use.
In Section 4.2 Locator you describe the Pl formula as the product of the probability distribution at point l. I didnt quite catch how well this formula will describe the case of normal distribution of signal power from two symmetrically located access points.
Suppose that the map of the area is illustrated by attached picture. WiFi access points, marked by lightning, are located at the ends of the hall. Points 1 and 2 are located symmetrically in relation to center of the corridor.
The product Pl in the points 1 and 2 is identical or almost identical, isn't it?
