I
have some confuse about the implementation of REDPIN. can you do me a

help.

1. in the server development environment, 

Check out the 'RedpinCore' *and* 'RedpinServer' project from the Redpin

sourceforgesite <http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=219301> http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=219301%3E;into your Eclipseworkspace

but in the sourceforge site, I cant find such files named as 'RedpinCore'or 'RedpinServer'

2. "Launch 'RedpinStandaloneServer'."

is the RedpinStandaloneServer is the file named as

redpin.jar<http://sourceforge.net/projects/redpin/files/release-3.1/redpin.jar/download> http://sourceforge.net/projects/redpin/files/release-3.1/redpin.jar/download%3E; ?

3. "Launch the server from command line using java -jar redpin.jar
[port] or use the supplied scripts in the RedpinServer/scripts directory."

how do I know the server is running successful?

and is there any requirement for the server? like need a wireless netcard?

For example, my PC dont have WiFi, so can my pc running this server successful?

4. on the android client,"On the Android phone, change the app settings and adjust
ip and port to your values (or change the default values in the source file ConnectionHandler.java)"

howcan I change the app setting and adjust ip and port? in the eclipse or android phone?

Dear Redpin Support,

i launch the server by using the redpin.jar and launch the android which
your website is provided.

also the app can connect to the server, unfortunately, i cannot upload to
map to the server.

how can i fix that problem?

Hi,

I have downloaded the app for the mobile (android) and the server (java)
with an mysql instance over my server too.

I start the server without problems, i start the app on the mobile without
problems, and i can see in the log (mobile)

08-05 12:14:14.406: V/SynchronizationManager(9585): database synchronized

But, i can't to upload maps beacause the app throws me the messge "couldn't
the map to the server" and i dont know how to the app must to work exactly
but i see my mysql database and no data is there.

So, somebody would say me, how to work this app?  why the app is not
sending data (sniffing) to the server.

Hi,

It is room-level accuracy. I also achieved once for big classrooms in a university to define subspaces in a room. The classroom was big (almost for 200 students) and with 3 or 4 access points.

trying to implement in my place the system. But I am quite new in this kind of

I'm trying to run/debug the android application in Eclipse IDT. However it shows that redpincore project is missing

I can not find the above project in any downloads. What am I missing here ? (I'm not an android developer.. so I'm just following the instructions on the site)

Is there some wiki or help text that guides one through the setup process ?

i need the Redpin app for my project necessarily.  I've downloaded the
Redpin server  and RedpinAndroid, but RedpinAndroid can't run without

RedpinCore and  I can't find the RedpinCore Project. It isn't in Realease3.1

it become ok.

But tried again to run on an emulator device there is no error but a line

Wow, that's some way to make a screenshot!
Either way, i can't read all of the error, but it looks like something in
the config file is wrong, maybe a wrong/weird character?

Into what application? iOS/android/other?
If you google some, I have written a line or two about why the wifi is not longer accessible in iOS (since iOS 4 I think)
You need to do changes in the app and need to jailbrake device to get it working.

I have successfully made whole system work, but at this point im facing a problem with android client application, which was made for android v. 2.2 and my testing device can have only android 4.2 or higher. Main problem is in the user interface. Localization works pretty fast and clean, but when iam trying to zoom the map, android client application starts to paint black layer over the part where the map with user interface exists. My question is if anyone has found out a solution to this problem or got an idea how to deal with it?</DIV>
