Hi.
I want to create an exact copy of my desktop ubuntu 22.04 Partition onto
an equal sized ext4 Partition on my laptop (eventually to 3 laptops).
Here are the details:
Data size to be backed up: 75gb
Source SSD Size: 512,109,838,536
Source Partition Size: 85gb (87040 blocks) MBR
Destination SSD Size: 500,107,862,016 (slightly smaller than Source)
Destination Partition Size: 85gb (87040 blocks Identical to Source) GPT
I will be booting from a USB containing your burned iso. The Source and
Destination SATA SSD's will be mounted on the desktop at the same time
(SATA & ESATA).
Do you care that the entire SSD Destination is slightly smaller, even
though the Source/Destination Partition sizes are identical ?
Is 'clone' the best way to do this ? Can 'clone' handle MBR/GPT
differences ?
