Despite all my efforts to attract a wider community to this CMS (in both, development and consument areas), Redaction System failed to produce a solid user base to start with.
Due to this fact, I will no longer release new versions of Redaction System and the whole project is therefore being discontinued.

As promised, we have launched the public live demo version of Redaction System.
At the present time, we offer you a peak into beta 2 version at our testing server, so by checking it out, you help us to find possible bugs and improve RS.

We have discovered that our system contains a few outdated components that affects its stability, security and versatility.
Based on these findings, we were forced to postpone our Release Candidate version and all other releases.

There are no exact dates to our next releases yet, although it is for sure that we will not be able to release a new version this year.
The very next 'beta 2' version should be therefore released in the middle of January 2008.... read more

Since we've been having really serious problems with our web hosting speed and availability, I was forced to move the website to friend's server.

This one is fast and furious :), so you shouldn't wait forever to load a page or see false error messages anymore.

Good news, everyone!
We have released our beta 1.1a version of Redaction System.
This version implements a small number of critical bugfixes since beta 1.1 version.
Most updates in this version are functional, except errors log and e-mails log admin tools.
This basically means that everything looks the same as before but it all works correctly now ;-)

We are planning to release a Release Candidate 1 version of Redaction System at the end of November.
This version will have automated installer implemented already.

Lately, we have been receiving quite a few complaints about our website functionality. You've been annoyed by many 'Page cannot be displayed' errors because SourceForge's hosting did not seem to be able to handle the requests.

Therefore we have decided to move to another free web hosting company, where such problems should not occur.

This is a temporary solution before we will be rich enough ;-) to get our own real domain.... read more

Good news, everyone!

For the most of last month, the RS team have been working around the clock to bring you several improvements and news over the latest sporadic updates and releases.
As the project started to stabilize a bit, we tried to include as many features and fixes in this release as possible (despite the demonstrative disappointment of our testers :)
We have worked hard and made this release the most stable and complete Redaction System version ever.
Thank to our great dedication to detail, we have uncovered some of the most annoying bugs and incompatibilities in MySQL and PHP versions that helped us greatly in our progress.
This release have been tested under most commonly used PHP and MySQL versions today under Windows and Linux machines, not to forget the safe mode ;)... read more

Hi folks,

I am proud to announce the first ever beta version of Redaction System.
This version is the best ever, the whole Admin menu has been completed and many bugs fixed.
We are permanently looking for developers and testers, so if you're up some challenge, just send me an e-mail!

Old news articles for this project were removed, so here's a short recap of what did the project gone thru since it became beta.
I've released a very bad and buggy first version of RS to public at the end of October 2006. This has been removed after several unsuccessfull patches and the new framework development started.
It took one year to re-work the system to Object-Oriented PHP and optimize it. Several alpha versions were released as time passed by, this first beta version has seen lights of our world ;)
Pre-alpha and alpha versions are no longer available for download and everything starts here, with the beta version of RS.
