On nvidia machines under KWin and desktop effects enabled, RMD causes the screen to stop updating. It still records what is happening to the screen, but the screen itself is not updated. This occurs from the CLI and both the GTK and Qt interfaces. It works with the Intel driver using OpenGL and XRender. It has failed under nouveau and nvidia drivers.
