1) Not out of box (yes with a lot of work and not really advised)
2) No, I have used File-Viewer to look at files on a server and run recordeditor (the file viewer will do the transfer).


The code should run on a server but it will require manual setup. The older generic version will run against most SQL-Databases. This process should work:

  1. Install the generic version
  2. Update the jars to the latest version
  3. Create shell scrip[ts etc

Note: the user-id password will need to be stored in a standard Text file - not great for security, although if you settup a userid that only has access to the RecordEditor DB's it should be ok
