    Hi Bruce,

I got a new laptop a month ago. I'm running RE 090_MSAccess on Windows 7.
When RE launches, only the Java icon appears on the taskbar.

On my previous machine running WinXP, the RE icon would appear not the Java
    icon.

More of an annoyance than anything because the Java icon moves around on the
taskbar depending on whatever else I'm running at the time.

Is this an issue with the Windows registry?

Are you using the 64 bit version of Windows 7 ???

I have setup some notes on how to change the icon http://record- editor.sourceforge.net/Notes/RecordEditorIcons.html

For the MsAccess version I use NSIS, on 64 bit windows for some reason the
    shortcut points to an icon
in C:\Windows instead of c:\Windows (86) where it actually resides

Changing the icon didn't work. Gives me this error:

    The name 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Merant\vm\common\jre\win32\bin\javaw.exe'
specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are
    correct.

You'll get back to me once the issue with NSIS is resolved?

    Thanks

I am redoing the installers with icons stored outside the Program Files
directory, should be available in a week or two

Also found some other installers have the same issue

I did a clean install using the MSAccess 0.91.1 installer. (I deleted all folders before installing) But there was no change...still just launches with Java icon only.

Ignore my last post. I must have done something wrong before but now I got it to work. Thanks for the patch!
