0.4.4 coming ...

OK, I've had a bit of a vacation from the project. Back to work. The next release will have more equations, some refactoring behind the scenes, and some bug fixing.

ReconstructItV0.4.3 coming ....

ReconstructItV0.4.3 will be released as soon as Sourceforge allows uploads again.

It has a nice Windows installer now, and includes some system DLLs. Some people couldn't run reconstructit because their system DLLs were old.

All currently planned Speed and Time equations are there (though they don't all have graphing or cool extras). The todo list includes Velocity, Momentum, Distance, and Rate equations.

ReconstructIt V0.4.2 released

ReconstructIt V0.4.2 is released. It contains a file (PyWinTypes15.dll) that was missing from the last release. Thanks to StevenJeff@Ameritech.net (Steve, I don't know his last name) for helping to identify this problem.

Another missing file

Grrr... 0.4.1 was missing another file :(

PywinTypes15.dll was missing from the standalone distribution.

I will have another release ASAP to fix the problem.

ReconstructIt V0.4.1 released

This release includes all the files it needs to run ;) i.e. win32ui.pyd is there this time.

Several new functions have been added for Time calculations.

Some code has been cleaned up and made more efficient; more to come!

ReconstructIt 0.4.1 coming ......

A new release of ReconstructIt is coming up. I just need to get it packaged up. Is there a nice, free, Windows installer anywhere? I'm probably going to use an InfoZip self-extracter, but need something better. Hmmm... (contemplates new project ...)

Anyway, look for it soon! The first one was missing a file too :( So this needs to get out quick!

Activity is not 0 ;)

Just letting you know that activity is not zero! Statistics are completely broken, it seems. If you ask in support they say 'it's a bug, you fool'. If you put in a bug report, they say 'don't you read the closed bug reports? Stop making duplicates!' I don't see how a current problem is a closed bug, but hey, I'm flexible.

Announced on ARC

Made an announcement on ARC (The Accident Reconstruction Communications Network) website discussion group.

Hope this will get some testing and feedback.

CVS working!

Finally CVS is working! The module in the repository, 'reconstructitpython', should be good now.

still CVS problems

I still do not seem to have write access to the HISTORY file.

This is apparently a 'known problem', I am waiting for a 'known solution'.

In the meantime, the website is going up and there is a file release.

Intial Pre-Release

The initial pre-release is ready! ReconstructIt is a program to assist traffic accident reconstructionists. All functionality is not done; please download, test, and provide bug reports.

Finally getting some files up!

OK, I stand corrected. The CVS write permission problem is fixed; I am doing an initial import now!

Setting up...

In the process of setting up the site. I can scp files now, but still not cvs (seems to be some sort of permission problem).

Stay tuned!
