I made a new release on monday, May 10th, 2004. It contains a number of small bug fixes. Major improvements are still pending, unfortunately.
I do not have much time at the moment, since my employment at the University of Karlsruhe terminates soon and I am therefore looking for a new job.
The enhancements, we need to make to RECODER require a portion of time to spend. Since quite some people depend on the RECODER infrastructure currently, we are looking for a way to continue development.
I am very sorry, that I haven't had the possiblity to spend more time on RECODER development in the past. I am also disappointed, that some guys I know, made some improvements but neither checked them into the repository nor handed them to me. Most of them only made demands of the form: "When will you have implemented feature X?" I do not think that this is the way open source development should be. I cannot do everything myself, because I do not get any support for working on RECODER, unfortunately.
Suggestions for improving the situation are highly welcome!
Cheers,
Dirk
