Realslim installs fine, and has its functions listed on the page of Slimserver. However, if you select on it gives an error saying that Rhapsody is not running, please start (But it is running.) I do have the Upnp server running on Rhapsody, and it doesn't show it connecting to it. I ran the error logger, and it shows that its going to browse Rhapsody, but it never gets the connection. I think there might be some port conflicts, and have tried changing them with no success. I'm running the latest ver. of both software, and Win 2K pro. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Actually, it does connect. But then it doesn't. Here's the diagnostic output from the slimserver process:
2005-01-25 00:22:57.6830 Initializing RealSlim...
2005-01-25 00:22:57.6965 Finished initialization.
2005-01-25 00:22:58.6967 New client found. Checking for Rhapsody tracks
2005-01-25 00:22:58.7428 Found UPnP device Rhapsody Media Server (odie)
2005-01-25 00:22:58.7430 Found Rhapsody UPnP service
But when I attempt to browse anything, I get this:
The Rhapsody player does not seem to be running on a machine on your local network. Please launch the Rhapsody player.
And nothing further in the slimserver's output.

Okay, I'll look dumb. I'm having problems like this too and can't figure out how to run realslim. I thought it just opened as part of the Slimserver software or does it have to be a seperate applications running too?

Did anyone figure out how to fix the problem of slimserver saying to launch Rhapsody even though it is already running? How did you fix it? I am getting the following:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at C:/PROGRA~1/SLIMSE~1/server/Plugins/Rhapsody/Scraper.pm line 469.
2005-03-21 20:23:05.5382 Response is not successful: Can't connect to :80 (Bad hostname '')
I have xp home, slimserver 5.4.0 and rhap v2.1b.240
Thank you for any help. Zach

I have the same problem. I am running W2000Pro as well. I have tried reinstalling both the server and plugin, but still cannot connect.
d'oh! realslim service wasn't running. I hand installed but forgot to start the service.
So, the first thing I'd check is if the service is running.
This is going to sound dumb but, how do you start realslim.
Never mind, I got it. same problem ---- thanks
