IGCPClient infrastrcture under development

The low level infrastructure of the IGCPClient project is undergoing significant development in the graphics subsystem.

Infrastructure to handle playback of audio as WAV, OGG, MIDI, XM, S3M, IT and MOD has already been implemented (musicsystem.h/musicsystem.c).

A steward that handles bitmaps and tilemaps, as well as their rendering references has been designed. The steward is able to partition objects to the drawing region (viewport) with an O(log2 n) complexity which is good for rendering algorithms which may experience rather large object spaces.... read more

Client Update release

I've released my starting stages of the IGCP client, motivated by the need for a graphical environment for Anime Mayhem (http://www.animayhem.com).

RoD's IGCP Protocol being updated

Anime Mayhem (http://animemayhem.com) will be the first server that groks the draft IGCP protocol. As such I've become active with the IGCP part of the Realm of Destiny project. I don't have time to build a complete game server on anything other than Anime Mayhem (which uses ColdC available from http://www.cold.org and provides a good portable network-transparent platform for implementing game servers). I will be developing the protocol completely in at least for the Render2D, Audio and Music logical output devices, and for all the input devices except the Virtual device. I need some more knowledge about 3D devices, such as helmets, visors and gloves to know more about how such a device's interface would look. The Render3D device would be implemented if I had some assistance with the effort.
