I haven't heard any complaints, so I presume version 1.0.4 fixed the earlier portability regressions.  I did test it on a variety of systems. It *should* even work on guile 1.6, but I don't have test system for that.

Alan: If you get a chance, let us know if it's working again on guile 1.6.  The code is *written* with modern Scheme, but it tries to detect guile 1.6 and then patch as necessary.
